Dementia Care at Home
Familiar surroundings, familiar faces and patient, skilled support.
Can someone with dementia be cared for at home?
Yes. Many people living with dementia are happier and more settled at home, where surroundings and routines are familiar. Radiant Support provides trained carers who visit at agreed times, or live in, to help with personal care, meals, medication prompts and companionship, while keeping families informed.

Keeping Life Familiar
Dementia is registered as one of our CQC specialisms. We know that routine, patience and continuity matter more than anything, so we keep the same small team visiting and follow the rhythms of the day that work for the person.
Care plans are built with the person and their family, and include life history, likes and dislikes, communication tips and what helps on a difficult day. Where a person lacks capacity for a decision, we follow the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and involve the right people.
How We Help
Dementia support can include:
- Personal care given calmly and at the person's pace.
- Medication prompts and monitoring.
- Meals, drinks and gentle encouragement to eat well.
- Meaningful activity, reminiscence and companionship.
- Support to stay safe at home and reduce the risk of falls.
- Regular updates for family members.
- Night support or live-in care as needs increase.
Dementia Care Questions
Are your carers trained in dementia care?
Yes. Carers complete dementia awareness training as part of their induction and are supported by our Registered Manager.
What if needs change over time?
We review the care plan regularly and increase or change support as needed, from a few visits a week up to live-in care.
Where can families get more advice?
The NHS dementia guide at nhs.uk is a good starting point, and we are always happy to talk things through.
